Qualification	:	BS in Plant Pathology or Microbiology.
Experience	:	Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a professional diagnostic facility.
Responsibilities	:	Assist the Plant Clinic operations with plant disease identification and diagnosis using traditional, morphological, biochemical, serological, and molecular methods. Participate in the upkeep of general laboratory functions and in the maintenance of laboratory stocks and materials. Assist as needed in the performance of day to day operations in the Plant Clinic by identifying pathogens using microscopy, taxonomic references to confirm pathogen identity, making media and other reagents, performing a range of classical microbiological assays designed to detect plant pathogens, verifying pathogenicity of organisms obtained; adapting, modifying or developing techniques and/or procedures for using molecular tools for pathogen identification; and inoculation experiments.
