Responsibilities | : | This position will play a key role in the development and delivery of biosafety, biosecurity, and biocontainment courses in a new program supporting workforce development for the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) in Manhattan, Kansas and for businesses in the Animal Health Corridor. The position will assist in instructing 3 to 4 courses focusing on high-containment research, biosafety, biocontainment and biosecurity utilizing a mixture of instructional methods including face-to-face, online, and blended delivery methods. Additionally, they will function as a subject matter expert and assist with other training courses developed and delivered at the BRI. The Research Assistant Professor will work closely with BRI education staff and serve as a subject matter expert for newly developed courses. The Research Assistant Professor will work closely with individuals selected for the Transboundary Animal Disease Workforce Development Fellowship Training program by providing guidance, coordination and support to BRI staff, students, research team members, program partners, and Fellows. Additionally, the Research Assistant Professor may engage in select planning, leadership, and support for new and ongoing research projects at the BRI. |
